The authors, Dan Sullivan, (Founder of Strategic Coach), and Dr. Benjamin Hardy discuss why 10 X thinking is simpler, easier, and better than 2 X thinking. For example, going for incremental progress is a 2 X mindset which means you’re continuing or maintaining what you’re already doing. You’re letting the past dictate what you do and how you do it. This is linear, meaning you’re striving to double output by doubling effort. Doing more of the same, just faster and harder. 2 X is exhausting and soul-defeating.

On the other hand, 10 X is so big and seemingly impossible that it immediately forces you out of your current mindset and approach. You can’t work 10 X harder and longer. Brute force and linear methods won’t get you to 10 X. (People get stuck in the 2 X mindset).

10 X isn’t about more. It is about less. Finally, 10 X is not about any specific outcome. It’s about the process. 10 X is a capability about a new mindset and a new way of thinking. It’s an operating system you deploy for:

  • Dramatically expanding your vision and standards

  • Simplifying your strategy and focus

  • Identifying and removing non-essentials

  • Developing mastery in unique areas

  • Leading and empowering others who excitedly share your vision

Freedoms of 10 X includes Freedom of Time, Freedom of Money, Freedom of Relationship, and Freedom of Purpose… working in your business and not on your business and delegating to

achieve 10 X results. Working smarter and not harder!
